Airport Parking

Thomas Cook Hand Baggage Allowance

You are allowed one piece of hand baggage only which must not exceed 5 kg in weight or 43 cm x 28 cm x 23 cm in size. One piece of hand baggage includes handbags, laptops etc, anyone carrying any more than one piece of hand baggage will be referred back to check-in. Pack photographic film in hand baggage as low dose X-ray machines will not affect it.

Thomas Cook Hold Baggage Allowance

Hold baggage must not exceed the allowance stated on your ticket or a charge will be incurred. Allowances range from 15 kg to 30 kg.

Individual items of luggage must not exceed 30kg for lifting purposes.

Thomas Cook Pre-Bookable Excess Baggage Allowance

Available on all routes except to and from Canada.

- For an extra 5kg the charge is £35 per person each way – short/mid haul destinations

- For an extra 10kg the charge is £70 per person each way - short/mid haul destinations

- For an extra 5kg the charge is £45 per person each way - long haul destinations

- For an extra 10kg the charge is £90 per person each way - long haul destinations

- Short haul flight is under 3 hours duration

- Mid haul flights include the following destinations: Turkey, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Morocco, Egypt, Gambia, Malta, Bulgaria and Tunisia, Greece and the Greek Islands

- Long haul flight 7 hours and over

Call Thomas Cook no later than 3 working days before your departure.

Thomas Cook Delayed or Damaged Baggage

If your baggage has been misplaced, the baggage desk staff at the airport will enter the bag details into the Worldtracer Baggage Tracing system and you will be given you a Property Irregularity Report number (PIR), you can then use the reference number on the (PIR) to check if there is any update on the tracing on your bag.

Should you find that your baggage is damaged, please immediately contact the Ryanair staff at the airport or their handling agents. Details of the damage to your bag will be entered in our baggage system and you will be offered immediate assistance.

Ryanair's liability for loss, delay or damage to baggage is limited under the Montreal Convention unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges paid.

Ryanair do not accept liability for fragile, valuable, perishable articles or baggage which is packed in damaged or unsuitable containers. It is recommended that all passengers obtain adequate travel insurance cover prior to their journey.

Thomas Cook Banned and Restricted Items

Items such as knives, scissors, tweezers and laser pointers may not be carried as hand baggage, these should only be carried as hold baggage only.

Any sharp items found in hand baggage will be confiscated.

Prohibited items include those items listed under dangerous goods and restricted articles.

Thomas Cook Liquid Restrictions

Liquids, creams and gels are now permitted and may include:

Shampoo, creams, suntan lotions, toothpast, hair gel, hair spray, perfumes, liquid or aerosol deodorants, cosmetics such as mascara and lip gloss, water and other drinks, soups and syrups, other items of a similar consistency.

They are subject to the following rules. The volume of each container must not exceed 100ml (100 g). Containers should be packed inside a re-sealable plastic bag that does not exceed 1 litre in size (a bag approximately 20cm by 20cm would be acceptable, this is similar to a small freezer bag.

This plastic bag must be packed in a way that each container is clearly visible and the bag can be sealed. One plastic bag per passenger is permitted. The plastic bag must be presented separately at Security for x-ray screening.

Thomas Cook Sporting Equipment Policies

Golf clubs (half and full sets) can be pre-booked prior to travel at a charge of £20 short haul/short haul plus and £40 long haul for the return trip. Your golf clubs must be suitably packed.

Bikes are charged at £40 short haul/short haul plus and £60 long haul for the return trip.

Surfboards and body boards are charged at £40 short haul/short haul plus and £60 long haul for the return trip.
